Circuit Breaker

A circuit breaker is a safety device which will open or break an electric circuit automatically when it becomes overloaded (too much current is flowing).

Guards

Always use the blade guards on circular saws and similar power tools. Do not wear loose fitting clothes which could get caught up in the moving parts.

Power Saws

When using a power saw always ensure that the piece of wood that you are working on is clamped firmly in position.

Switch Off

Switch off the main switch and remove any fuses before working on any electrical fitting. Ensure that the circuit is not still live before touching it.

Unplug

Always unplug a power tool from the electricity supply before changing a blade or drill etc.
